He demonstrates exceptional strength in individual duels, possesses elite passing range, dominates aerially, and provides leadership. His contract expires in 2027, making a departure appear more realistic than Bastoni’s situation.

Schlotterbeck reportedly seeks an exit from Dortmund to challenge for major titles. He appears unlikely to renew his current contract arrangement. Nonetheless, Barcelona is also monitoring his availability, recognizing the need for a center-back matching his profile. This competing interest could complicate Liverpool’s negotiations.

Additional defensive concerns emerge regarding Ibrahima Konaté’s potential departure from Anfield. Contract renewal discussions between the Frenchman and Liverpool have stalled. Konaté could eventually leave as a free agent after failing to reach agreement on improved salary terms.
