Inter Miami shocks fans by sending Benjamin Cremaschi on loan to Parma
Inter Miami CF has agreed to send midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi to Parma Calcio 1913 in Italy’s Serie A on loan until June 2026, with the Italian club retaining an option to purchase. The move was confirmed by Miami on Tuesday, marking a significant step for the 20-year-old American international.
Cremaschi, a product of Miami’s academy, has made 107 appearances across all competitions for the club, during which he scored eight goals and provided nine assists. His contributions proved vital in Inter Miami’s recent successes, helping secure both the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield.
After making a name for himself in MLS NEXT Pro and earning a spot in the MLS NEXT All-Star lineup, Cremaschi signed with Miami before the 2023 season. His performances led to a contract extension late last year, further reflecting his rising profile within the club.
On the international stage, Cremaschi has collected three caps with the US Men’s National Team and appeared at the 2024 Summer Olympics. His development at Miami has been closely watched, with many highlighting his chemistry with fellow academy graduates Ian Fray and Noah Allen.
While Cremaschi has become Miami’s most notable homegrown talent, other young players like Santiago Morales are emerging in the midfield. Meanwhile, David Ruíz, a Honduran international, has faced ongoing injury challenges throughout the current campaign.
Parma, Cremaschi’s new club, narrowly avoided relegation last season by finishing 16th in Serie A. The loan move presents an opportunity for Cremaschi to test himself in one of Europe’s top leagues while providing Parma with a promising addition to their squad.
