Rangers FC in talks with Marcelo Bielsa to replace Michael Beale
Scottish football club Rangers FC is reportedly in talks with Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa to replace Michael Beale. According to sports journalist Rob Laurens, the contacts have been initiated but it remains uncertain whether or not Bielsa will accept the job offer.
Bielsa has a reputation for being selective when it comes to taking on new teams during the season. It is likely that if he does agree to join Rangers FC, it would be for the summer transfer window.
However, one obstacle could be his salary demands which may need to be lowered by the Scottish club. Another obstacle is the proximity of the Argentine with the national team of Uruguay with whom negotiations are also ongoing but not finalized. The Rangers want to try it at the last minute, hence the contact.
It remains unclear how negotiations between Rangers FC and Bielsa will progress from here, but many are hoping that this could be a positive turning point for the club after recent disappointments on the field.
